Professionally, I’ve worked in both community service and community health focused on women’s services, supporting new moms through pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and the complex emotional terrain of motherhood. It was there that I learned how deeply our early experiences, bodies, and relationships intertwine.
My work now brings all of these experiences together. I help individuals and couples explore the emotional patterns that shape how they love, communicate, and connect. My work integrates trauma-informed care with evidence-based and attachment-focused approaches to support people in feel seen and supported, make sense of their pain, repair trust, and grow toward more grounded, authentic relationships—with themselves and others.
At its core, my work is about helping people remember their wholeness. My role is to offer a space of warmth and curiosity—where you can explore, make meaning, and move toward a more grounded and connected version of yourself. Healing doesn’t mean erasing what came before—it means learning to carry it with compassion, and discovering what becomes possible when we do.
About Jeanie
I am a Korean-American mom of three biracial children and have been married to their father for twenty years—a partnership that has held countless adventures, challenges, and seasons of growth, including a year-long separation and a profound reconnection. These experiences continue to shape the way I understand love, healing, and the complexity of human connection. I have a deep respect for the courage it takes to keep growing - both individually and together.
Before becoming a therapist, I lived many lives. I was born in Seoul, raised outside Philadelphia, began my studies at NYU, and later earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University San Marcos. I spent years traveling across the country as a live musician and meeting people from all walks of life, before settling in El Salvador for six years, where I birthed my children while running a coffee shop.
Those years—of mothering, cross-cultural living, and searching for community—deepened my understanding of resilience, parenting, and the emotional legacies we carry across generations.
